It’s gonna be a waiting game for us now as I’m nearing my due date.
Today, I had a pre-natal check-up again. Unlike my previous appointments that started on time, today I waited for about 30 minutes at the clinic (but I enjoyed looking at the wall aquarium at the clinic so it was just alright).
Anyway, my blood pressure was a bit on the borderline and my edema is getting worse. My doctor said I had to drink lots of water, avoid soda and avoid salty foods to help lessen my edema. I was also advised to do some moderate exercises (like walking) and to elevate my feet at the end of the day (or whenever possible). I also had some lab works done but I’ll know the results during my visit next week.
I am excited but nervous. I guess it’s a feeling that’s normal for every pregnant woman, a mixed emotion that gets stronger as the due date comes nearer.
Do you agree?
