Las Vegas City bills itself as the Entertainment Capital of the World and has been known worldwide for shopping, gambling and fine dining. It is also called the City of Lights because the Las Vegas Valley is the brightest city on earth as viewed from space (although a lot of cities claim this title too).
I mentioned this trivia from Wikipedia because next week marks my second year here in Las Vegas. Yes, it’s been two years already – I can’t believe how time flies.
Although I’ve been here for a while, I haven’t explored Las Vegas that much. There are still some big hotels that we haven’t visited and I have never played in a casino – ever! The times I was able to touch the slot machines were when I had my photos taken.
Well, I even haven’t driven along the Las Vegas Strip yet. Whenever we visit the Las Vegas Strip at night, it’s Hubby who drives because I always get distracted by all those great views and the wandering tourists. I’m also a bit scared that I might hit somebody because there are some people who are not paying attention to the traffic and just focus on the wonderful view in front of them – not caring where the pedestrian lane is and are oblivious to the pedestrian stop (as if they’re wearing some safety vest and expecting the driver to see them and yield to them every time).
This year, it’s one of my new year’s resolution to visit the Las Vegas Strip more often. Who knows, we might be transferring to another city or state again soon, right Hubby? (spoiler alert?)
