It’s almost Christmas! Can you feel it in the air?
The Christmas holiday is a great time to visit Las Vegas because there are lots of attractions here. The hotels and casinos are out-doing each other with Christmas decorations, lights and Christmas trees. If you love sight-seeing, shopping, dining, bar-hopping, gambling or just having a great time, Las Vegas is the place to go. Besides, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” (and for some people, this is like the go-signal to having a great time).
This year 2012 Christmas day and New Year’s Day both fall on a Tuesday and this means that the Las Vegas Strip will be more crowded because of the two four-day weekends. It is during these times that traffic incidents are prevalent. Because of preoccupation with all those attractions, some tourists have a tendency to disregard traffic signs, as evidenced by the rise in reported cases of accidents among pedestrians during holidays in the previous years (good thing certain streets at the Strip are closed on New Year’s eve).
Whether you’ll be driving or just walking around the Strip these holidays, be sure to be vigilant and watchful of all those street signs and traffic signs. Let’s all have a safe and happy holidays.
