Owning a rental property has been my dream ever since I had read Robert Kiyosaki’s book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It is a great way to earn passive income and increase one’s net worth.
When hubby and I started investing in rental properties, I had learned that the greatest loss for rental investors is due to vacancy. When a property sits vacant for an extended period, we are not maximizing its potential income.
To avoid long periods of vacancy for our rental property, my husband and I hire an online marketing company with fizz. They are the ones who post the vacancy in various websites and social networking sites.
I mentioned “with fizz” because it takes a great marketing company to turn seemingly ordinary apartment units, like the ones we have, turn into exciting ones. With the right words, they could stir the reader’s interest in our rental properties.
Anyway, I can say that online advertising has overtaken printed ones (at least in this part of the world)! We discovered that majority of our applicants learn about the vacancy online than from print ads. It is probably because more and more people prefer to perform a free search online than shell out a few bucks buying newspapers. However, we also give credit to the efforts of the people working at the marketing company that we hired. They created a marketing campaign that focuses on our target market – the locals in Las Vegas.
Do you agree that online marketing is so effective nowadays that any company or entity will benefit from the implementation of proper marketing strategies? Even if the company lacks the resources, they can always hire a marketing company to take care of the job. It is a cost-effective way to reach more people and help them develop their brand online (from having their own website to Facebook pages and Twitter marketing).
The bottom line: Online marketing works! If your business haven’t focused on that yet, start now.
