I wonder if there’s a phrase, “window shopaholic?” If so, then it probably describes me.
I used to think that I’m an impulsive buyer because when I visit stores before, I ended up buying things that I don’t need. It excites me to look at new stuff in the malls and back then, I’ll immediately buy whatever it is that takes my fancy.
Problem is, I’m a spendthrift! When I get home, I feel bad to see how much I spend on the things that I really wanna buy.
Finally (and I’m very pleased about this), I was able to find a way to feed my desire to shop without feeling guilty afterwards. Window shopping!
Now when I visit malls, I still get a large cart and fill it with stuff that I like. I roam around the shop and check on each item (except big and tall clothing – I won’t fit in those because I’m petite) like normal shopaholics do. However, instead of paying for them, I’ll spend a few minutes putting them back to the shelf or sometimes just leave the cart at the shopping aisle before I exit (sssshhh!).
Isn’t window shopping a creative way to feed your desire for shopping and still be spendthrift at the same time?
