Tomorrow is going to be Halloween (or All Hallows’ Evening). It is one of the more popular holidays here in the United States and activities to observe it include trick-or-treating and costume parties. There are also those who carve pumpkins into jack-o’-lanterns, light bonfires, play apple bobbing and visit haunted attractions. Of course, there are still those who enjoy playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films in this time of the year.
Last year, Georyl went trick-or-treating in a Minnie Mouse costume. She was still so young then that she ended up being fussy all night because she was sleepy and the weather was a bit chilly back then. This year, she is looking forward to trick-or-treating in her fairy costume with her cousins.
Since Halloween’s imagery includes themes of death, evil, the occult, and mythical monsters, someone mentioned that we should try some free psychic chat for a change. That might sound exciting especially since it’s for free but psychic stuff like that is not really my thing so I have to decline.
When I was younger I used to believe in horoscopes but someone mentioned that believing in those is against my religion. Whether that is true or not, I just ditched reading horoscopes and didn’t listen to psychic readings or predictions anymore.
Why? Because I believe that there’s only one who knows the future. He can touch and change our lives in a heartbeat. He has a plan for us even before we were born.
And He is my God.
