Do you (or somebody you know) have a receding hairline?
I mentioned this because earlier today, we went to Walmart to shop for some stuff. We were at the vegetables section when a toddler who’s about a year older than Georyl became fussy and wanted his dad to take him out of the cart (the ones with that thingy where baby can be seated while you shop). To appease his son, the man who’s about in his late thirties, took the boy out of the cart and carried him. Instead of settling down, the young boy continued struggling then started pulling his dad’s hair.
Alas! Imagine our surprise when the man’s hair (ahhh, make that wig) was removed after the young boy pulled it. The scene was so hilarious but in order not to offend the man, I had to turn my back and pretend that I was busy looking at the grapes (which costs $1.99 per pound).
That scene kept me smiling all the way home. The man’s probably ashamed of his balding hair but can’t afford to pay for the best hair transplant surgeon so he just used a wig.
My father used to sport the “semi-bald look” but after a while, he shaved his head and went for the totally clean (bald) look. Now that most people whom he knows are already used to his bald (ala-Mr. Clean) look, he says that his hair (or lack of it) doesn’t bother him anymore. I’m not suggesting that the guy from the mall should totally shave his head but he may want to consider it or try a better (and embarrassment-free) alternative.
