I was given the chance to review the book The Corruptible written by Mark Mynheir. It is a Christian suspense or mystery novel about a private investigator named Ray Quinn. He’s a former policeman who retired from work and is now working as a private investigator (but still serving as a consultant of the police force).
I haven’t read a good mystery novel for quite some time now and I must say that this book has again awaken my interest in this genre of books. The book is full of twists and turns – and I was not able to guess who’s the real culprit until the last few pages.
The book started slow, probably because it’s part of a series and there’s a need to establish some characters from the other parts of this series. If you haven’t read the first part though, don’t worry because this book is a page-turner itself. I enjoyed it even without having an idea on what the other parts of the series are all about.
I recommend this book to everyone who love mystery/detective novels. You’ll love this one.
