Recently, we had quite a scare when our computer crashed. Our main concern is our photos that were saved in it. We tried bringing the computer to a popular computer repair shop but unfortunately, they cannot tell whether the files are recoverable until they check them out – which was understandable but they charge $199 just to take a look so we have to pass. Another computer shop don’t have the tools that are needed to remove the hard drive (how’s that?).
Luckily, hubby has a tennis friend who’s a computer technician. He was able to recover the files even though the hard drive was already damaged using some programs.
After that scare, I began looking for some backup programs in the internet. We had a 1 terra-byte external hard drive at home where we can backup our files but backing files up is a task that you don’t usually remember until your computer encounter problems. In other words, I was lazy to do that so I needed an automatic back-up program and I chanced upon Carbonite.
Carbonite offers unlimited online backup that works automatically and continually in the background whenever your computer is connected to the internet. With your computer backup at Carbonite, you can now access your files anytime anywhere – even from other computers, smartphones or iPad.

It’s really the data that we are concerned about. Those picture, all the more, since they can never be taken again at the same time they were taken the first time.
