Internet marketing is the ultimate way to market these days. It is a no-brainer. In this digital age, almost everyone (or at least the people who matters to your business) uses the internet. This is the reason why businesses should really put some effort in their internet marketing strategy.
“What strategies?” you might ask.
As the internet evolves, the scope of internet marketing evolves too. For example, some people may think that choosing between using full article or teaser is “petty” but in internet marketing, it means a lot.
Since we are on that topic, I would like to ask you this question:
As a blogger or webmaster, which one should you provide to your RSS subscribers – full article or teaser?
I have many blogger friends and I subscribe to their blogs via email. Personally, I prefer receiving and reading full articles than those teasers in email.
Why?
Unless the web masters are using different software, teasers just feature the first few sentences of the post. We have to admit that not all bloggers can write great opening paragraphs – those that are interesting enough to capture their reader’s interest. Sometimes, the images are the ones that can catch the attention of the readers and these are not shown when you only have teasers. With full articles, it is easier to capture and keep the attention of your readers.
Many bloggers who use teasers say that they do not want the readers to view the whole article in their emails so that they will be obliged to visit their blogs. More visitors mean more page (and ads) views. In addition, advertisers are usually more interested in page view stats.
Well, I disagree with this line of thinking because as a subscriber, I am more likely to visit a blog to leave a comment on the post if I find the article interesting enough. Besides, there are already ways to monetize and incorporate ads on blog feeds so you will still earn even though your readers only viewed the articles from their emails.
These are just some of my point of views and my reasons for saying why I prefer full articles in emails rather than just teasers. I just base this on my experience and may or may not be the strategy that is recommended by internet marketing experts.
How about you, which do you think is better for RSS feeds? Full article or teaser? Care to share in the comment section?

I would be glad to receive a full article on my mail to the website/blog I am subscribed to. Like you, I am also likely to visit the page even when I’m already subscribed to it, especially when I need to comment or interact with the author or fellow commenters.
