When I received the Serafino double wall 16 oz insulated drinking glasses, I was surprised to see how thin and light the glasses were. Despite Ozeri’s claim that these are dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe, and that the glass is stronger and more durable than common glass, common sense tells me that a little more TLC is needed when handling this product. I had been extra careful handling these and hand washed them all the time. I also never placed them in the microwave nor the freezer.
Aside from that doubt as to durability, I enjoy having these double wall glasses. It does not matter whether you are drinking hot or cold, you can hold the glass because you will not feel that it is hot or that it makes your hand cold. The “wraparound contour” (as they call it) does provide one a good grip. I also love its design – makes your drink look like it is suspended on air. It also comes with 1-year warranty.
I feel that the product description at Amazon (shatter-resistant and stronger than common glass) is counter-intuitive. However, since I had no problems with this product, I am giving it 5 stars.
