Experts generally classify matcha into two grades: cooking grade and drinking grade. The latter is the higher grade and, understandably, more expensive. As the class implies, it is the ones that provide a better drinking experience.

I received a 4-oz pack Matcha Green Tea Powder from Kiss Me Organics recently. It is sold exclusively at Amazon for $25 but I got it for free in exchange for an honest review here at GEORYL.
This matcha is culinary (cooking) grade therefore, I didn’t expect its color to be as vibrant as the high grade (drinking grade) ones which, by the way, are way more expensive. I used it in baking matcha green tea cupcakes with matcha buttercream frosting from a recipe I found online and it was surprisingly good – even my little ones ate it.
I also made matcha latte with this (even though it is not drinking grade) using the steps from another website. Although it is not drinking grade, it still was great for a green tea latte.
I would recommend this product to those looking for culinary grade matcha green tea. I just wished Kiss Me Organics would include some matcha recipes on their website in the future to make things easier for us.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
