I grew up in a middle-class family and was taught the importance of education in reaching one’s dreams. In college, I took up BS Accountancy, became a Certified Public Accountant and then later studied Master in Management to further improve my craft.
If you’ve noticed, all my post-secondary education are business related. Why do you think I took up those business courses in college and graduate school?
Personal Interest
I’ve always been fascinated with our family business. Even when I was a child, I was already taught how to manage our business, deal with customers and handle the cashiering in our bakery. This exposure to business had planted the seed of being business-minded in me.
Opportunities
There are more job opportunities for graduates of business schools graduates – everywhere. Whether it’s a private company, a non-government organization, the government, for business or non-profit, almost all organizations need management and accounting. Even in just the accountancy course, you’ll already have lots of options as to the field to focus on: corporate accounting, tax accounting, auditing, bookkeeping and more. You can work in a hospital, in a private company, a retail chain and practically every organization possible.
Challenges and Advancement
Organizations are dynamic. The constantly changing business environment inspire me to develop myself in order to meet the challenges in my job and profession. Among the things I did to further improve my craft was to take up Master in Management and I must say that graduate school is really a great step toward a better career.
