Do you love matcha tea? I had the privilege of getting a pack of matchaDNA free in exchange for an honest review here on my blog. I had reviewed two matcha teas in the past so it was easier for me to assess the latest product that I received.
Packaging
I like the fact that this product comes in 34 individually packed pouches. Not only is it convenient to carry, the packaging helps keep the rest of the tea from being exposed to air and becoming oxidized.
Taste
This matcha green tea is delicate and sweet smelling but if you are just trying green matcha for the first time, you would find it bitter. Based on its color and taste, I can say that this is not a ceremonial grade matcha (the highest quality) so I would recommend that you use it for making latte or mix it with milk. Or maybe for baking.
Price
This product costs $19.21 when I bought it (price fluctuates from time to time) and it is basically about $6.40 per ounce. That can be a bit pricey but it may be because of the fact that it comes in single serve pouches. If you do not need it in single serving packs, matchaDNA offers this tea in 10 oz. packs which brings down the unit cost to roughly $2.47/oz.
Information from the Manufacturer
According matchaDNA’s website, this matcha tea is 100% Swiss certified organic. The tea came from china and not from Japan. Matcha tea is naturally rich in vitamins, nutrients, amino acids and EGCG’s. It is BPA free as well.
My Verdict
This is not the best tasting matcha green tea that I had tasted but I definitely love it’s packaging. Click this link to check out -> matchaDNA at Amazon.

I am not much fan of teas of once in a while, I have an urge to make a cup to relax me. Never had this one before, we only buy lipton.
