Have you read my post about our tempurpedic bed? Ever since we purchased that one, we’ve been using a mattress protector from the same brand, which is made of cotton but has a waterproof but flexible material underneath.
Considering that I was used to another material for mattress protector, I immediately noticed that barely audible sound of plastic during the first few days (or nights) that I used the fitted vinyl mattress protector from Americare. It took a bit of getting used to it but I barely notice the sound now.
The Americare mattress protector fits snugly around the mattress, does not budge easily, and stays in place. I cannot vouch for the durability of this product because I had it only for a few weeks but I can say that it does its purpose of keeping the wetness away from the mattress. The label does not say if this is washable but it says that you can wipe clean the surface.
This vinyl mattress protector provides basic mattress protection and ensures a stain-free surface. It comes in 5 sizes: hospital bed, twin, double, queen and king.
