I’m so glad that my blood pressure is becoming stable right now.
When I went to the follow-up check up to have my BP checked last weekend, I was so anxious that I might be admitted again because the first reading was 131/94 then it became 138/96. During those times, I was just alone in the room and instead of helping me relax, it made me more nervous.
When my family went inside the room about a few minutes before the third BP reading, I was scared that my BP reading will be higher because Georyl started bugging me (she wanted to put the BP cuff on her arm too), hubby turned on the TV and I thought it was a bit loud, and my little Geshery began to cry as if she’s getting hungry.
Alas! When the third BP reading came, it was 119/80s (I forgot the exact diastolic pressure reading). I was so glad when the nurse (who was monitoring my BP from the nurse’s station’s computer) went in and removed the cuff from my arm – and gave me the go signal to go home!
Wow! Just being with my family made my BP lower. Darn, they need to be there on my next check-up too. Thinking of relaxing thoughts like having to rent a beach house from beachhouse.com and having a vacation just don’t help.

My BP has been elevated these days too. My husband keeps reminding me to take my BP med.
