One of the tenants in our recently bought unit here in Las Vegas will be leaving soon and we’re thinking of the best and fastest way of getting a new tenant.
We’re thinking of whether we should just hire an advertising agency, advertise the vacancy in the internet and newspapers ourselves or rely on word of mouth advertising? Oh, that’s a bit confusing.
I guess, it all boils down to our advertising budget and how fast we require results. Right?
Since advertising agencies have already established their strategies and contacts in various media, I believe that they will bring in the fastest results. Unlike us, they know the right people to talk to and the most cost efficient ways to reach our target market.
I can also try posting the free ads myself on internet sites but I’m not sure how long it will take. As to newspaper ads, I do not have contacts in print media and I’m not sure which newspapers to advertise on. Word of mouth might work for some but since we only transferred here earlier this year, we only have a few contacts at the moment and it might not be the best advertising method that we could use.
If our budget allows it, I’m leaning toward getting the services of an advertising agency. Our family friend have a rental house too and she said that the property was vacant for more than a month but after she hired an ad agency, in four days she already had a tenant.
Anyway, if you know anyone who’s looking for a place to rent here in Las Vegas, we have a two bed, two bath apartment unit that’s available by January. You can just contact me for more details.

Whatever you decide, goodluck with the search! I hear so much about Craigslist maybe you should start from there.

I hope you find a tenant soon. It does help to get a real estate agent/agency. Our group of friends has a condominium we are renting in the Philippines and since we’re all abroad we had to hire an agent and she does well in getting the tenant for us.
