Being a stay at home wife and mother is a wonderful “job” especially if you have a responsible, loving and supportive husband like I do. I learned, however, that no matter how happy the atmosphere is at home, there are times when one yearns for the “me” time – a time to reflect, to read a book, to surf the web or do a hobby or a certain activity – alone.
One of the “me” time activities that I enjoy doing is creating blog designs or templates. It gives me the chance to express myself by the colors schemes that I choose or the vector images that I use. I love tinkering with html codes and php functions too because they allow me to be analytical.
I used to practice designing on my own blogs. Some of my blogger friends even teased me for regularly changing my blog themes. One day, one of them said that she’ll order the next design that I’ll come up with – it became the start of my part-time blog designing “career.”
I am now planning to open an online business that will be anchored on my love for blogging, interest in designing and quest for a home-based business. I’m in the conceptualization phase as to what the business will be and still learning how to sell online but I intend to launch this “baby” this year.
A worthwhile hobby for a home-based business indeed!
isn’t wonderful to be do the things you love to do and get paid for doing it? that’s my idea of a dream job. aren’t we lucky? haven’t been here for awhile. how’s everything going, sis?
i agree, a dream job indeed. anyway, everything’s going great mai, the year started with a rain of blessings – and the rain hasn’t stopped yet (such as friends like you visiting my blog again) 🙂
