Father’s Day is just around the corner. With this COVID pandemic affecting us today, however, most of us might find it hard to celebrate Father’s Day with our dad. In some places, there are still travel bans and community quarantines. Additionally, some restaurants still do not accept dine-in customers where you can have a nice meal with your father.
Despite the situation, there is still some way to show your father that you still care even when you are far away. Here is a list to consider.
Food Delivery
While some restaurants are closed for dine-in customers, many are still open for take-out orders and delivery. Treat your dad with his favorite food or dessert (or both) by placing an order with some local restaurants and bakeries.
Auto Tools and Accessories
Most men love cars. If shoes, makeup kits, clothes are to women, then car tools, gadgets and accessories are to men. The good news is you can order this stuff online. If you want to splurge, you can even buy hard to find specialty auto lifts from stores like Best Buy Auto Equipment.
Gift Baskets
Many say that gift baskets are impersonal. However, you can still add your personal touch by considering your father’s personality and likes in choosing the gift basket to give him. Select or create one that contains his favorite treats, accessories that he likes, things that he might need, something to add to his collection, drinks and other stuff that you think he will enjoy having.
Gift Certificates
Send your dad a gift certificate for the place (or an online store) wherein he likes to shop. You might even send one for his favorite restaurant where he could order a take-away or food delivery. A gift certificate gives him the option to choose what items he prefers to buy, and this can be a practical plan if you are running out of ideas on what to give him.
Are there other items that you think we should add to this list? How about sharing them in the comments section below. We would love to hear about it.
However you may be celebrating Father’s Day this Sunday, we wish your dad (and you, if you are also a dad), a happy Father’s Day.
