Summer is already is almost at its peak here in Las Vegas and the sun’s just so scorching hot. It’s no wonder why the lake and pools are our frequent whereabouts lately.
Last Saturday, we did one boo-boo. We arrived at sometime past 11 o’clock in the morning at the Cottonwood Cove in Searchlight, Nevada. It’s actually on the Nevada shoreline of Lake Mohave which is part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Seeing the full parking lot, we realized our mistake. We should have arrived earlier since it was a weekend and people were expected to flock the lake. As expected, all the facilities for visitors (I meant the park benches, tables and the barbeque grills were all taken). We just wished we brought along portable adirondack chairs and picnic tables.
Lesson learned? Well, arrive early in order to enjoy the site furnishings and amenities.
Anyway, sometime after noon, one of the tables were vacated so we were able to carry on with our weekend getaway. By that time, Baby Gee’s swimming lessons was already through and here, look how my little sweetie is doing in her swimming lessons:
Craving for more? Don’t worry, I’ll share more about our Lake Mohave getaway soon.
Have a nice day everyone!
