Children don’t come with a manual. As a parent, there are times that we may feel guilty; thinking that what we are doing to make our kids grow up into God-fearing, responsible adults may not be enough. While a parent’s love and instinct contribute to our action, oftentimes, we need some definite action plan and lessons about parenting to feel more confident of our parenting skills.
Book Description: Motivate Your Child
Motivate Your Child: A Christian Parent’s Guide to Raising Kids Who Do What They Need to Do Without Being Told is a book written by Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller and published by Thomas Nelson. The topics are divided into two major parts: moral and spiritual development in children.
In My Own Opinion
This book contains wonderful and practical insights and advises on parenting for Christian parents. Not only did I learn a lot about parenting from this book, I was also inspired to do better as a parent and a person. If only non-Christians would be open-minded about it, they could get wonderful insights from this book as well. However, it is understandable if non-Christians would be turned off by this book because it contains several passages from the Bible. If you’re a Christian, this is a very helpful book on parenting.
