Asher and Watson Set Sail: A Pirate’s Book is a children’s book written by Julie Schoen. Marina Veselinovic drew the illustrations while Little Pearl Publishing published the book.
This is a tale of Asher Barry and his pet dog, Watson. After a mishap in the bathtub, Asher found himself in a “real pirate adventure.” He became a real pirate, Watson became the first mate, and they set sail to discover adventure and riches.
Treasure chest, evil pirate, a dangerous island – this book certainly has the elements of a pirate book that will be appreciated by boys who love pirate stories. Unlike other pirate tales, however, the ship used by the main characters does not have a name. Nevertheless, this is still a good book to read for boys about five years or older.
