I just so hate computer viruses but since I am online and internet surfing most of the time, the possibility of my PC encountering viruses during my blog hops and net surfing is relatively higher.
I am currently using a free antivirus program on my PC. The license for the antivirus program that was pre-installed when we bought this PC already expired and we decided not to renew it anymore.
How about you? What antivirus software do you use on your PC?
I am asking this question because if you’re also active in the blogosphere, you’ll probably agree with me when I say that a reliable and efficient antivirus is one of our must-haves as bloggers. We need an anti virus program that will provide virus protection for our PCs, files and identities.
Right now, there are lots of software, both paid and free, that provide anti virus protection – making it harder to chose the right antivirus software for you.
To keep yourself and identity safe online, I suggest that you use an internet security software that include anti-spyware and anti-phishing functionalities because this kind of anti virus software is specifically made to counter the usual ways hackers use to steal your identity online.
Have a safe and virus free blog hopping everyone!

I don’t use any antivirus since I’m on Linux. 🙂
Windows = free virus. 🙁
Linux = virus free. 🙂 And Linux is free too!

I agree that as active internet surfers we need to secure our computers especially against phishing sites which can steal our personal information. My friend who’s an expert in PC says that antivirus program is not enough so he also put anti-malware program in our PC. As for which is the best internet security, I have no idea at all. There’s a lot out there.

This is true. Since we are active online we should have an antivirus software. For years I had been using free antivirus softwares, those free trial ones but lately I decided to purchase Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and so far, I haven’t encountered any problem.
