Sorry guys, no Friday Linky Freebies today. I entirely forgot.
How time passes by, I can’t believe that it’s now the first Friday of January! I’ve been extra busy this week because I’ve got two patients down with flu. First, my hubby and then three days later, my little daughter.
Just this morning, we went to the pedia to have little baby Georyl checked up. It’s the third day of her on and off fever (with runny nose and coughing on the side) and the doctor said she developed an ear and throat infection already. It was good to know that her lungs are clear at the moment and streptococcus pneumonia is out of the question.
Because of her condition, we will be administering antibiotics for the next 8 to 10 days (depending on her reaction to the treatment) and will continue with the acetaminophen until her fever ceases.
She’s really being a handful during these times. Fussy. Irritated. She always cries… so loud that last night, I had to wear a pair of disposable ear plugs because my eardrums were already feeling the strain because of her constant wailing – which happens to be directly on my ears because she wants to be carried most of the times.
Dr. Cheryl said that she’s irritable because she’s in pain caused by the ear infection. She said most children get at least 3 of those during their first year and luckily, my daughter had it for first time well above her first year already – probably because she’s been breastfed all these times.
Hope all will be well soon. Happy weekend!

Our son had runny nose for 4 or 5 days already but luckily he don’t have any fever but occasional cough only. For 3 nights we don’t have enough sleep because he can’t sleep either and just kept on moving like a clock.
