I like June. In some parts of the world, especially in the Philippines where I am originally from, it’s the start of the school year. Here in the US, it’s summer break. Although I still do not have kids who are of school age, my sister in law does and it is during summer that we usually do our out of state travel – like the one that we’re planning to do next week.
Yes, you read it right. Next week, my sister in law and cousin in law (along with their respective families) will be joining us for our week long vacation in California.
Traveling with huge group (there will be 18 of us during this short vacation) entails a lot of planning. First, we needed to find cheap hotels and book in advance. Even a few days of booking in advance can already mean a huge savings. In addition, searching for a cheaper hotel will be easier when done online because you can compare prices, read reviews and research more about the place without wasting your time and gas (compared to driving around).
We plan to spend a few days camping as well. Hubby had already booked two campsites at the Wishon Bass Lake and we’re almost done with our shopping for and preparing the things we needed like tents, food, drinks, first aid kits, utensils and other camping gears and stuff. I heard that the youngsters will bring a guitar so that they can play some music at the camp.
For sure, it’s going to be one great adventure! I promise to share pictures of the places we will visit. Hope you do watch out for it.

That would be so much fun. I have a friend whose family went to Hongkong, about 16 in total. Brother and sister in laws with their kids. Parents had as much fun as their kids because shared the experience.
