Last month, we visited the Lake Mead National Recreation area in Boulder City, Nevada as a way of welcoming summer (albeit late). Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in the United States, located on the Colorado River about 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada, in the states of Nevada and Arizona. It is formed by water impounded by the Hoover Dam, extending 112 miles behind the dam and holding approximately 28,500,000 acre feet of water.
Here’s a magnificent view of the lake. They say a picture says a thousand words but the photographer (me) failed to give justice to the beauty of the place.
Here’s another shot, this one is on the other side…
Of course, there’s a picture of our family pic to share too as we pose with the beautiful lake serving as the backdrop.
Aww, I can’t believe how much weight I’ve gained but the pictures don’t lie. I guess that’s what you get when you’re both retired from 8 to 5 jobs and most of the day is spent watching tv, internet surfing and lazing around the home. I wanted to post about our recent road trips too but I’m not comfortable sharing my fatso pics. LOL!
Have a great weekend everyone!
