I’m not sure if bloggers need to post a leave of absence notice whenever they leave the blogosphere for a while but for someone like me who’s been blogging daily, I felt guilty for leaving my blogs and blog readers (not a lot but I know there are few, wink!) hanging for a few days.
First reason, our PC broke.
For a while, it says “insert disk then press key” or something to that effect when booting up. Since hubby and I are frustrated techie geeks, we tried to fix it. Guess what, after a few tries, the computer went dead. It doesn’t respond to the power button anymore. Uh-oh!!!
So we brought the dead PC to Geek Squad to have it fixed but they charge more than a hundred bucks just to check-up the PC – and they’re not even sure if they can fix it until they get to see what’s the problem. Our main concern are just the videos and pictures that are saved in the PC, if they can’t be recovered anymore, we can always buy a new one. Why pay for a “check-up fee” that’s more than a hundred bucks (and if something’s broken, you need to shell out more to buy the broken part) when you can get a brand new PC for a few bucks more, right? We just need to know if the hard drive is recoverable or not – but no “check-up fees” please?
Second Reason: A Trip To California
Good thing, my sister in law asked us to join her and her two teeners on their trip to California. Instead of sulking because of a broken PC, we spent five splendid days in downtown San Diego, Sea World, Legoland, San Diego Safari Zoo and Disneyland. I enjoyed the trip and would love to share our pics once our PC is fixed (because our Sony videocam is useless until we can upload and convert the files using the only software that can read it: PMB software). It’s a promise!
So, there goes my reasons for the sudden disappearance from the blogosphere. I still can’t blog hop now because of my limited computer time but I’ll try to make up for it as soon as I’m back in full swing.
Have a good week ahead everyone!

Aha…!! This is the reason why techie shie giveaways are in jeopardy. LOL I myself are into limbo as well and if you noticed, I was only posting in my medical/health/safety blog because of connection problem in the house that started first week this month and probably will last until the end of the month. So, that is even worse than your situation. haha..
I believe, if it is not a virus then you have a bigger chance of recovering (may be not all) what you need to be.
