Once in a while,
Right in the middle of an ordinary life,
Love gives us a fairy tale.
Those lines are taken from the wedding invitation that I received from my bestfriend, Francheska (or Franz for short). She got married last month and I wasn’t able to attend the wedding because the it was held in the Philippines. Attending it will be impossible because I have two little children to attend to, my parents are here in Las Vegas for a vacation and, of course, I didn’t receive the round-trip ticket that I was hoping for (see, it’s not my fault “gurl”!).
Seriously, I am very happy for Franz. After all the heartbreaks that she went through before, it is great to know that she finally found her soul-mate. I really do agree with Garth Brooks when he sings the “Unanswered Prayers” song. It’s really right that just because he doesn’t answer all our prayers, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t care. He has His reasons for unanswered prayers. It’s after He reveals His plans when we will realize how great those plans are.
I am thankful to Facebook because even though I was not able to attend Franz and James wedding, I feel like I am there by looking at all those pictures and videos that they shared online. I love Franz’ wedding dress, the barley blue wedding motif, the cute centerpieces, the towering five layer wedding cake and the obvious fun and enjoyment of everyone who were there to celebrate the occasion. And of course, I love the beautiful bride’s look as well.
To Franz and James, congratulations and best wishes to both of you. I wish you both love and joy – and cute little babies soon! Grandma Alice is already excited for sure.
