Do you know how to cook? If the only cooking that you know is putting something into the microwave or boiling water to put on “just add hot water” easy to prepare food products, you’re missing a lot.
Why?
Here are just some of the reasons why you must learn how to cook.
1. Food is a Basic Need
This is an obvious reason. We need food to live and cooking is one of the ways to come up with something to eat.
2. Savings
It is generally cheaper to cook your own food than to buy it. Eating out everyday is quite expensive and even if money is of no issue to you, just think of how much you can save when you add up all those dine-out expenses.
3. Nutrition
People who don’t cook usually buy junk foods or from fast foods. Learning how to cook nutritious foods helps you achieve a healthier lifestyle.
4. Food Handling & Sanitation
You’ll never know what transpired in the restaurant kitchen and the quality of ingredients used in preparing the food that you just ordered. When you cook your own food, you can use quality ingredients and can be sure that the food was properly handled.
5. Income Opportunities
You can sell your cooked or baked products to other people. You can even put up your own restaurant or catering business if you have a lot of clients or customers.
6. X Factor.
If you think that only women know the shortest distance to a man’s heart (which is through his stomach), think again. A survey shows that women also find a man’s ability to cook appealing.
7. Bonding Time.
Cooking at home provides you an opportunity to bond with your kids or your partner.

Hi Sheryl… I am a cook in my own right! I had a food company then but it closed shop when I got sick.
And nowadays, I no longer take those kinds of stuff I prepare “ensalada” type of foods which is more healthy and easy to prepare.
My cooking days is now just a memory…
BTW, GeoRyL is now on my Blogroll.!:=)

My partner and I are both working so we “bond over food preparation” on weekends. It leaves us both happy to share what we have cooked afterwards while watching DVDs.
