Thanks for the post from Lynn Guy
Has anybody else been watching that Tia and Tamera show? You know the girls that used to star in that corny sitcom Sister Sister, well they have their own reality show now and it’s totally fascinating. I got satellite tv family channels last month and it comes on Style or something like that and there’s only been one season so it was really easy for me to catch up on all the older episodes. The thing is that they’re both turned into really great young ladies and the show features one of them getting married while the other is about to have a baby and it’s just too interesting.
I’ve always been really interested by the twin dynamic and they seem to have a really good and complicated one so that really draws me in, too. It’s just refreshing to see pseudo celebrities living normal lives and not really out partying all night long and fighting with each other. I think I’ll watch it next season, too!
Georyl (the baby) will be turning two years old next month. I can’t believe how fast time flies (to think that hubby and I got to know each other only about four years ago – and now, our little princess will be turning two years old already)!
Now that Baby Gee is growing up, I think it’s high time to relinquish this blog to her. Although she can already type from A to Z, she can’t compose blog posts yet so it’s still gonna be me who’s going to blog (of course!) but the focus will be on Georyl – and this blog will serve as a chronicle of some sort.
Expect to see some changes in the weeks to come for this blog. I’m already excited to share with you Baby Gee’s escapades!
I’m not sure if bloggers need to post a leave of absence notice whenever they leave the blogosphere for a while but for someone like me who’s been blogging daily, I felt guilty for leaving my blogs and blog readers (not a lot but I know there are few, wink!) hanging for a few days.
First reason, our PC broke.
For a while, it says “insert disk then press key” or something to that effect when booting up. Since hubby and I are frustrated techie geeks, we tried to fix it. Guess what, after a few tries, the computer went dead. It doesn’t respond to the power button anymore. Uh-oh!!!
So we brought the dead PC to Geek Squad to have it fixed but they charge more than a hundred bucks just to check-up the PC – and they’re not even sure if they can fix it until they get to see what’s the problem. Our main concern are just the videos and pictures that are saved in the PC, if they can’t be recovered anymore, we can always buy a new one. Why pay for a “check-up fee” that’s more than a hundred bucks (and if something’s broken, you need to shell out more to buy the broken part) when you can get a brand new PC for a few bucks more, right? We just need to know if the hard drive is recoverable or not – but no “check-up fees” please?
Second Reason: A Trip To California
Good thing, my sister in law asked us to join her and her two teeners on their trip to California. Instead of sulking because of a broken PC, we spent five splendid days in downtown San Diego, Sea World, Legoland, San Diego Safari Zoo and Disneyland. I enjoyed the trip and would love to share our pics once our PC is fixed (because our Sony videocam is useless until we can upload and convert the files using the only software that can read it: PMB software). It’s a promise!
So, there goes my reasons for the sudden disappearance from the blogosphere. I still can’t blog hop now because of my limited computer time but I’ll try to make up for it as soon as I’m back in full swing.
Have a good week ahead everyone!
This post brought to you by UPromise. All opinions are 100% mine.
Every parent wants the best for his or her child, and as Baby Gee’s mother. I also dream (and want) that my baby will have the best of everything in life – whether it be in education, personal life, career, spiritual life, finances, health and relationships or family.
If you’re also a parent like me, why don’t you share your dream for your child at www.upromisetodream.com. Share your dream on their wall and ask your friends and relatives to vote for your dreams because you can be one of the lucky winners in their ongoing contest to celebrate it’s 10th year anniversary.
For its 10th year anniversary, UPromise will be giving away $1,000 to ten lucky winners and $10,000 to the grand prize winner. If you want to get a chance to win it, don’t worry because it is quite easy to participate. As I’d mentioned, just submit your dream for your child or a story that tells how a parent has supported a child’s dream to their dream wall and encourage your friends and relatives to “like” it. For more information, be sure to read the dream wall official rules for the contest.
