Scanners, printers, speakers, digital camcorders, smartphones, tablets, mouse, keyboard, flash memories, and external hard drives – these are probably just a few of the equipment or gadgets that you usually plug-into your computer via USB. Having a limited number of USB ports in your computer becomes a problem when you need to connect to a myriad of gadgets.
I received a 7-port USB 3.0 hub (model number HB7-3200) from Liltek early this month, free, in exchange for an honest review here at GEORYL. This product can be a big help if your computer does not have many USB ports because it gives you seven extra downstream ports and two USB charging ports.
This USB hub is easy to use; it is a plug-and-play external device so you do not need to worry about installing new software in your computer. It supports Linux, Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8, and MAC 9.1, 10.2 or above. According to the manufacturer, this product features over-current detection and protection. It is also compact (8 x 2.4 x 0.8 inch) and weighs only 4.7oz.
The hub can function in super-speed mode (5Gbps rate) if you connect it to a USB 3.0 compliant host. If you just connect it to a USB 2.0 or 1.1 compliant host, it will operate in high-speed (480 Mbps), full-speed (12 Mbps), or low-speed (1.5 Mbps) mode. The blue LED light indicates that the USB port is being used.
This product is made in China but can be purchased at Amazon here: Liztek HB7-3200 USB 3.0 7-Port Hub with with 2 Smart Charging Ports for iPad/iPhone/SAMSUNG/HTC Smartphone/Tablet (2.7 ft USB cable, 12V/4A Power adapter(8ft), Latest VL812 Chipset)
Overall, I am satisfied with the product that I received.
Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
