My husband and I recently bidded on a two-story single family home located somewhere in North Las Vegas. I wasn’t really keen on buying a two-story home before but when we saw the features of the house, we decided to give it a shot.
One of the upgrades done on the house is the use of iron railings in the staircase. The design was scrolls and leaves and it really gave the stairs the “wow factor.”
I found one website where these kind of iron railing are sold and I had learned that you can buy these balusters and balcony elements per piece. There’s this kind of bushing that sells for $4.91 apiece while another sells for almost $50 each. I guess, some owners are really willing to pay just to customize their home and give it a more elegant look.
Anyway, I am glad that we finally reached the stage where we were able to submit a bid for a house. Usually, the listing will already close (go pending or contingent) even before we can schedule a showing. (Remember my post about that house that was listed Saturday afternoon and came Monday morning, the agent will no longer accept offers because they already received overwhelming offers during the weekend?)
This property was listed for sale only yesterday afternoon and when hubby saw the pictures, we decided to bid right away. I hope we get a good deal on this one.
Keeping our fingers crossed.
