Now without it’s PR but it’s worth noting that its 2,720 links are still searchable at Google!
Flashback: The Story Behind It
Sometime in March, Blogger disabled my blogspot blog, “Bloggista Info Corner”. It was my first “baby” and I really was depressed by the idea that Blogger will just disable a blog without any notice after all the efforts and time that I spent in making it a PR3 blog (it earned that rank in less than 3 months and maintained it before it was unceremoniously disabled my Blogger).
Despite numerous requests for restoration, I never saw that blog again. All my posts were gone and the sad part of the story is that I never had a back-up of it.
That’s the main reason why I gave away another PR3 blogspot blog (The Twitterer) sometime ago – I don’t want to become “emotionally involved” with a blog that may be taken away from me in a blink of an eye.
The good thing that was born out of it though is the birth of this WordPress blog: GEORYL. Hubby just can’t afford to watch me getting depressed about my lost blog that’s why he bought the web hosting and domain for this blog. (BIG grin!)
It’s Now Available
Just this week, I received an email from Dave Lucas telling me to bring back the Bloggista Info Corner because the domain is now available. I checked and yes, bloggistame.blogspot.com can now be registered. The contents can’t be retrieved anymore but the subdomain name and all it’s existing links in the networld are all still valid. It’s like an old site but a new blog – yes, that’s confusing!
I still have no plans on what to do with this new site/my old subdomain. Right now it’s still empty. But I’ll think of something in the next few days.
Did you have a blogger blog that was disabled by Blogger? Try checking the domain’s availability after 9 months. Who knows, you can register it again at that time.
