Alright, others may call this silly but I am just wondering if you believe in that superstition that pregnant women should not wear necklaces during their pregnancy because it will result to the baby’s cord wrapped around her neck?
Someone gave me that advice when I was pregnant. I didn’t believe it but just to be on the safe side, I avoided wearing necklaces – for a while. When my husband gave me a necklace as a gift midway through my pregnancy, I used it almost everyday.
When I gave birth, we originally intended it to be via the normal delivery but the doctor noticed that everytime I pushed, the baby’s heart beat would drop. She tried vacuuming her but finally decided for an emergency Cesarian operation. That’s when it was found out that the baby’s cord’s wrapped around her neck.
I have read other testimonies from mothers having similar experiences while others say they never had problems with their pregnancy even if they were wearing necklaces.
How about you? Do you believe in this superstition? Can you share your experiences to refute or support this belief?
